WELCOME, Patsy, to the Adelante! Gallery! We will have a few of Patsy's bronze sculpures for our Small Works Exhibit in November at the OKC Gallery.
Patsy Lane's love of the outdoors and its inhabitants is reflected in the 'Stories' of her sculptures. Patsy's natural ability to capture the details of horse and rider may be due in large part to her participation in numerous 50 and 100 mile endurance races with her champion Arabian Stallion and to having a cow/calf operation with her husband in Konawa, OK giving Patsy opportunities to sculpt animals doing what they do naturally.
Patsy Lane studied with some of the top sculptors; Garland Weeks, Tim Shinabarger, Mehl Lawson & Grant Speed. The Bronze Horse Foundry casts her work and was built by John Free, a sculptor and one of the original Cowboy Artists of America.
